Konferenz 'Protection of National Critical Infrastructures in Europe - Energy - Transport - ICT - Public Security'

31.01.2011 - 01.02.2011

With the Directive 2008/114/EC Member States are obliged to identify and design European Critical Infrastructures (ECI). This process had to be completed by 12th of January 2011. Once ECIs are identified on national level the next step is to find methods, tools and ways to protect European Critical Infrastructures. This is a challenging task for both national authorities and private owners of critical infrastructures. Given the ever changing and European wide intensifying threats international cooperation both between private and public stakeholders is becoming more and more important. To avoid domino effects involved authorities need to design proper action plans and guarantee an open dialogue on counter-measures against jeopardized assets and procedures.

European Critical Infrastructure resilience can only be achieved through proper and practical crisis and risk management, disaster recovery and security plans.
