Jasmina Schmidt arbeitete als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin im Projekt WEXICOM. 

Sie absolvierte den Masterstudiengang "Global Development and Planning" an der Universitetet i Agder in Norwegen und beschäftigte sich in ihrer Masterarbeit mit der Kommunikation des Klimawandels und der Risikowahrnehmung der ländlichen Bevölkerung Ugandas.
